Temple University Center City provides technology, computing, study and building services to support students and visitors while on campus. Services include computer and library resources, laptop and power bank borrowing, wireless internet access, student ID cards, study areas, vending machines, building security and bicycle parking.

Technology and Computing

Technology Center

The Technology Center provides computer access, library research assistance and technical support for Temple University Center City students.

The Technology Center is located in Room 404.

Open Lab, Library Resource Center and Information Technology Services hours:

Monday through Thursday: 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Friday: 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Laptop and Power Bank Borrowing

Temple University Center City students can borrow laptops and portable battery units from the kiosk in Lab 404.

The service is free for Temple students with a current Temple ID. Borrowing is available for up to five hours depending on when the building closes.

Power banks include a standard three-prong outlet and USB ports. Students should bring their own charging cables.

Student Resources

Internet Access

Wireless internet access is available throughout the Temple University Center City campus. Ethernet connections and power outlets are also available around the perimeter of lounge, seating and vending areas.

Student ID Cards

Credit students registering for the first time can have a Temple photo ID card made in Suite 215.

ID card hours:

Monday through Thursday: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Non-credit students receive ID cards through their non-credit department.

Lounge and Study Areas

Lounge, seating and vending areas are available throughout the building. These spaces provide places for students to relax, study and spend time between classes.

Vending Machines

Vending machines are located in the lounge areas on the second, third, fourth and fifth floors. A coffee vending machine is available on the fifth floor.

Campus Access and Security

All people entering Temple University Center City must tap in with a Temple ID.

Visitors who are not affiliated with Temple University must present a current photo ID and register with security for authorized building access.

Bicycle Facilities

Bicycle racks are available for student use on the 15th Street and plaza sides of the building.

Bicycles are not permitted inside the building.

Can I borrow a laptop at Temple University Center City?

Yes. Temple students with a current Temple ID can borrow a laptop from the kiosk in Lab 404 for up to five hours depending on building closing time.

Is Wi-Fi available throughout Center City?

Yes. Wireless internet access is available throughout the Temple University Center City campus.
