About

Mission

The Institute on Protective Services' mission is to mitigate risk and prevent harm to older adults and other vulnerable adults by educating and empowering protective service workers to act with knowledge, skill, and confidence. We are committed to equipping protective service workers with the tools and training necessary to identify signs of abuse, neglect, and exploitation, and to intervene effectively. By fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development, we strive to ensure protective service workers are prepared to respond quickly and compassionately.

Services

The Institute on Protective Services at Temple University Harrisburg provides specialized education and expert consultation to task force groups, human services professionals, law enforcement, EMS, and medical professionals.
