BGS: Carmen's Story

Carmen is an embodiment of Temple’s motto: Perseverance Conquers. Life presented many challenges—from illnesses to family losses—that made her put her studies on hold several times. There were moments where she wondered if she would ever complete her degree. But when she learned about the Bachelor of General Studies program, she realized it was exactly what she was looking for and leapt at the opportunity.

To all current and/or future students: I want to encourage you. Whatever your age or circumstances, you can achieve your educational goals. If you give it your all, take “small” (determined) steps, stay committed, disciplined and focused—it will absolutely pay off in the end!
