Real Estate Salesperson License Process - Pennsylvania
Register and complete (pass) the two required courses: Real Estate Fundamentals and Real Estate Practice.
The Real Estate Institute will email you a transcript after course completion.
Apply to take the PSI state licensing exam by submitting an application, payment of $49 and a copy of your transcript, after making 2 copies - one for later use and one for your records.
PSI will mail you an examination eligibility notice to use for scheduling your exam. There are three testing locations: Bala Cynwyd, Bristol and King of Prussia.
After you pass the PSI State Licensing examination, you must identify a broker to sponsor you and complete the licensing application within three (3) years of your examination pass date.
Your sponsoring broker completes his/her section of the state licensing application. You must obtain a background check online or by mail, send a copy of your examination pass report and include a copy of your original transcript and license fee. All licensing materials and the application must be mailed directly to the PA Real Estate Commission.
The PA Real Estate Commission will mail your Real Estate Salesperson license to the sponsoring broker's office.
