Caroline Burnell is the Director of the Institute on Protective Services at Temple University Harrisburg.
In this role, Caroline oversees the training of all new protective services caseworkers along with continuing education to seasoned staff. She also coordinates with the Pa. Department of Aging, county-based Area Agencies on Aging, and local law enforcement to provide expert case consultation in elder abuse cases, including forensic accounting services.
Prior to joining the Institute, she spent over 25 years conducting audits and financial fraud investigations. Caroline is a Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified Government Financial Manager. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in mathematics from Dickinson College and a Master of Science in Fraud and Forensics from Carlow University.
