Temple University Harrisburg has grown exponentially over the last 10 years — a newly renovated facility in Strawberry Square, brand-new media center, more students, and new programs that best meet the needs of individuals pursuing a degree.
This fall, Temple Harrisburg is offering a new grant program benefiting incoming freshman beginning their Temple journey at the Harrisburg campus.
Temple Harrisburg’s Freshman Year Experience allows students to start their Temple degree at Harrisburg and transition to Main Campus the following year. With smaller class sizes, students receive one-on-one attention and the benefit of a lower tuition cost for the year.
“We’re very pleased to announce that all incoming full-time freshman students beginning at Temple Harrisburg in Fall 2018 will receive the Freshman Year Experience Grant,” said Link Martin, Director of Temple University Harrisburg. “This grant is part of Temple's commitment
to making higher education accessible and affordable to students and families in central Pennsylvania. With this grant applied to an applicant’s tuition, Temple Harrisburg is now among the more affordable top-tier Pennsylvania college and universities.”
For Pennsylvania residents, the Freshman Year Experience at Harrisburg Campus will cost $3,500 less than other Temple University campuses. Students are eligible for the tuition grant as long as they are enrolled full-time in both the fall and spring semester. This grant is separate from any additional aid students are eligible for with the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and will not deter them from receiving additional assistance.
